We have had a glut of pears this year, far more than we can eat from the fruit bowl. This old favourite recipe always comes out at this time of year.
As you can see from the rather stained pages in our recipe book (dating back to the 80s!) this is a favourite way to use up a load of pears, and is dead easy to make.
Simply follow the recipe as in the picture above.
It's basically a batter that keeps well for a good couple of days, or can be eaten warm with a dollop of creme fraiche as a dessert.
