The Chapel, Abergavenny

A place where you can linger and be left alone

It may not be the cheapest place for lunch in Abergavenny but the quality of the ingredients shine.

The Chapel have their own vegetables and tend to use what’s in season for their menu.

My choice at lunch was roasted carrots and chicory with a dukkah and labneh topping. The salad dressing was lovely with tahini and the whole thing tasted great. It cost £8.00 and worth it.

They have local wines and beer too but I stick to their coffee which is very good.

The Chapel is the sort of place where you can linger and be left alone by the staff which I like.

The menu is mainly vegetarian but I didn’t enquire about vegan - I’m sure they would alter any of their menu if you were to ask.
